Welcome to Kennel Milkcreek -  Breeding selectively since 1989

My little kennel is a very small kennel by any standards. I have bred an average of one to two litters per year which I rear in our living room amidst our family. In the recent years I have not had litters every year. We have only used hip and elbow approved stock (and eye-screened stock  of SWD) with good, breed typical mentality. Kennel Milkcreeks mission and vision is to breed loving, typical puppies according to FCI Standard which have a good potential of living long lives without handicapping illnesses. We strife to place these puppies to carefully selected people with great integrity and love for the breed. We feel our puppies should not live a life in kennels and dog pens, but in a home with their loving owners. The owners of Milkcreek puppies have always been people that love their dogs, work with their puppies, and do not regard them as "objects" to further their own self-esteem, but as members of their families. They also display "good sportmannship" in the show rings if they choose to show their puppies. All the puppies are sold with health certificates, vaccines, worming, puppy guide and puppy packages to carefully selected people with a true love for the breed.

Kennel Milkcreek adheres to, and supports whole-heartedly the Norwegian Kennel Clubs Ethical Codes of Breeding.

Thank you!

I wish to thank every breeder I have been able to use a male from. It takes two to tango!  I recognize the hard work all the breeders have laid down to produce an outstanding male - and I thank you for letting me enjoy the products of this work.

I wish to thank my puppy buyers as well. I am not a person that likes to show dogs myself - in fact, as an active FCI judge, I try to avoid this as much as possible. Thus my success has depended almost solely on my puppy buyers. I would like to thank especially Ole Einar and Vigdis Løken for their campaigning of my puppies - more than any other, they have taken the name of Milkcreek out to the world. I wish to thank all the experienced breeders for sharing your knowledge of the breeds with me. I also treasure the learning opportunities the Kennel Club has given me as a judge, and as a lecturer of canine anatomy and genetics.
